You can sum the values of different elements together using the sum()
function. The XML sample you gave wasn't well-formed, but if you had:
<score>
<match no="1">75</match>
<match no="2">75</match>
</score>
Then you can create a total score like:
<xsl:template match="score">
<score>
<total><xsl:value-of select="sum(match)" /></total>
</score>
</xsl:template>
