[Hellstern, Manny] > Is it possible to embed a parameter name into an XPATH expression? > No. If you want to use just a single step in the xpath expression, you can do something like <xsl:apply-templates select="//*[name()=$param1]" /> If you need to use a many-step path, like /LEVEL/DUMP/TEST[3], one way to handle it is to use one stylesheet to write a second one, which will have the right path hard-coded in.
