I don't know how SourceForge intended the bug register to be used, but I use it as a list of known confirmed bugs. If everyone who thought they had found a bug logged it there, there would be 100 entries saying "position() always comes out as 2,4,6" and the like. The best way to report bugs is via the list saxon-help@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx There is also a forum, but the list often gets replies from other users, whereas messages to the forum usually only get responses from me, which takes longer. And however you post it, you don't need to announce the fact on xsl-list - readers of this list are quite busy enough already.
