Hello Dave,

AFAIK you can not set the value of use-attribute-sets dynamically (using AVT). So you also can't build a string for the value dynamically.

Furthermore <xsl:attribute name="xsl:attribute-set"> does not work, it only creates the attribute in the output of course.

The only difference shell be the attributes, the rest is the same in the different output FO cells.

Joerg

      <xsl:attribute name="text-align">center</xsl:attribute>
    </xsl:if>

For a third type (column headers vs. row headers) I had to add still more <xsl:attribute/>s. Does anybody know a smarter way to achieve "dynamic attribute-sets"?

Not sure about dynamic, but note it says
  xsl:use-attribute-sets="table-cell"

I.e. plural

I've used multiple sets, e.g. ="para bold underline"

Anyway you could build a string for the value?
Or select one of a combination built from a basic suite?

You did same qname though, not expression.

Mmmm.

Not sure.
