Subject: [xsl] parsing ECB xml file From: David Silcott <lava_patch@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 29 Nov 2002 21:45:10 -0800 (PST) |
hello i am fairly new to xml and i am trying to implement a currency converter using rates which are updated regularly. I've found an xml document produced by the ECB, http://www.ecb.int/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml , but i am having problems extracting values of the attributes of the 'Cube' elements from the file.. what am i doing wrong? The following is a simple xsl script which i tried. ================= <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:gesmes="http://www.gesmes.org/xml/2002-08-01" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/strict"> <xsl:output method="html" /> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:for-each select="gesmes:Envelope/Cube/Cube"> <xsl:value-of select="Cube/@currency"/> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> ================ i can successfully exctract the contents of the 'gesmes:subject' and 'gesmes:name' elements however. Any answers? __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
