It's just an example. Probably Elliotte wanted to illustrate how to emit namespaced attributes.Hi, I look at this example, its useful, but i didn't understood at what influence this part of output, @xsi:type="xsd:string"@, if it has some use in xslt transform or only extra atributes for identification data only in xml, not transformation.
