Yes and yes.  You need to declare a second namespace for the output XSL though.

For example

<xsl:template match="/">
	<oxsl:template match="/">
		<!-- Do something -->
	</oxsl:template>
	<oxsl:template match="dummy">
		<!-- Do something else -->
	</oxsl:template>
</xsl:template>

Is it practical to try to use a stylesheet to make a XML file an XSL file? Is it possible?  I haven't found a clear answer.
