Hi Larry, Thank you for your post, i am experimenting sometimes the same kind of problems. Now that i am trying to imagine the xml-trees in my mind and how the nodes are getting transformed step by step in your mentioned push-method it is much more simpler. Do you or any other remember where is a link about <snip> posted to this list a link to some site that discussed using the document()function to have a truely separate template file that is mostly XHTML, with elements in some temp namespace used to call to the source tree. </snip> It sounds very interesting.
