Not sure if you got a final answer to this.
Either there is a bug in your stylesheet or there is a bug in your XSLT
processor. (The former is more likely!)
To find out which is the case, write a small stylesheet that
demonstrates the problem, post it here in its entirety, and tell us
which processor you are using.
