I learned xslt 1.0 from Jeni Tennison book "Beginning XSLT" - while I
hate television (most of the book was based on TV examples), the
examples were clear, in abundance, and answered many questions I see
posted on this list :). It also talks about using several parsers, and
doesn't focus on just one.

I think it is out of print (its a wrox book), but there are still places
you can get it - I still use it as a reference from time to time.

I would also imagine anything written by Michael Kay would excellent
judging from his (humorous) posts, and the fact he wrote that Saxon
thing ;)

While 2.0 should be coming out soon(?), I think a nice 1.0 book is good
to have - I recommend Jeni Tennison book "Beginning XSLT" if you can get
it.
