This is known as multi pass, or in more general terms, a pipeline of transforms with the result of each stage being fed into the next stage. you could use; - ant.apache.org allows for creation of pipelines of processing using the <styler/> or <xslt/> task ( check out ant article at xml.com ) - saxon at saxon.sourceforge.net has support for multiple result documents, though you may have to use XSLT v2.0 ( no big deal, I use it daily ) good luck, Jim Fuller XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
