Yes David, it absolutely works as you mentioned ! ... I need a value to test and not just bolean true and false That is not what my requirements are. Therefore I get value at all the positions in separate variables Then I test them. :-) Regards, -----Original Message----- From: David Carlisle [mailto:davidc@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: 04 February 2004 14:10 To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: In-reply-to: <16D4969FB6522B4EAF1D4D5013F1FF9D347EDB@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> (Sajjad.SHEIKH@xxxxxxxxxxx) Subject: Re: [xsl] Value at position() FCC: ~/Mail/sent References: <16D4969FB6522B4EAF1D4D5013F1FF9D347EDB@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> --text follows this line-- > It works definitely I give up position()=last()-2='A' is exactly the same test as position()=last()-2='Wibble' It does not test the string 'A' (only that the string is non empty) and it does not test the content of any element.
