Again if there are no complex types around and only primitive xsd simple
types I don't see why this requires XSD validation.

In otherwords is it really clear that a system that accepts a data model
with elements annotated with atomic xsd types such as xsd:double...
coming from some source other than xsd validation can not claim
conformance by supporting schema import with an empty set of available
xsd schema?
