In the future, Microsoft Word may read even XSL-FO directly. Even though, ideal path is XML to WordML, or XML to Word.doc binary. One reason is style setting of Word file should be inherited from XML. Performance will be quite bad via XML -> XSL-FO -> WordML -> Print by Word.
