Hi,

just combine the two previous answers:

XML:

<root>
      <text>one</text>
      <text>two</text>
</root>

XSL (based on example 4 shown at http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/el_number.asp):

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>

<xsl:template match="root">
<html>
<body>
<p>
<xsl:for-each select="text">
<xsl:number value="position()" format="1.- " />
<xsl:value-of select="text()" /><br />
</xsl:for-each>
</p>
</body>
</html>
</xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>

HTML:

<html><body><p>1.- one<br>2.- two<br></p></body></html>
