Subject: RE: [xsl] XSLT 2.0 *and* XSLT 1.0 validation -- how to? From: "Pawson, David" <David.Pawson@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 25 Oct 2004 09:13:37 +0100 |
-----Original Message----- From: Jeni Tennison The trouble is that XSLT allows regions of a stylesheet to belong to different versions. In XSLT 1.0, you can put an xsl:version attribute on any literal result element to indicate the version of XSLT used in the content of that element. In XSLT 2.0, any XSLT element can have a version attribute, and any other element can have a xsl:version attribute that does the same thing. Something about fine and mess and Stanley comes to mind. In summary, any element in a 2.0 stylesheet can have some sort of versioning attribute, and with forward compatibility, that version could stretch from 1.0 2.0 through to n.m Is this meeting some sort of requirement, or .... something else? Does anyone on this list *use* these attributes? Anyone else think this is a bit of a mess? regards DaveP ** snip here ** -- DISCLAIMER: NOTICE: The information contained in this email and any attachments is confidential and may be privileged.
