this is a faq: You just need two templates, one that does an identity transform, eg <xsl:template match="*"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/> <xsl:apply-apply-templates/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:templates> and another that works on summary nodes <xsl:template match="summary"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/> <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(.)"/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:templates> David ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star.
