You are correct; I wasn't using the proper wrapper, and since we are
on the subject, do you prefer to use the wrapper or the EventArgs and
add the name extension?  Here is what I have working:

XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument();
ExsltTransform xslT = new ExsltTransform();
XmlTextWriter writer = new XmlTextWriter("..sample_results.xml", null);

...

xslT.Transform(nav,xslArgs,writer);
