Subject: RE: [xsl] How to produce the "XML declaration line" in the middle of a document? From: "Khorasani, Houman" <houman_khorasani@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 11 Aug 2005 16:39:47 +0100 |
Actually another situation came up. If I use xsl:output method="text" then my escaped characters <? Will be translated correctly from <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> to <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> However all the xml tags disappear and just the values appear in the output. Do I set the xsl:output method="xml" then the tags are there but the escaped characters won't get translated correctly. Is there a way out? Thanks Houman -----Original Message----- From: David Carlisle [mailto:davidc@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: 09 August 2005 13:06 To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [xsl] How to produce the "XML declaration line" in the middle of a document? Assuming you have xsl:output method="text" then you don't need to do anything special, you just place the string in the stylesheet as you would any other string. As always you need to quote < and & so for example <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> David ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star.
