Subject: [xsl] What new XSLT/XPath tools+features would you like to have? From: "Dimitre Novatchev" <dnovatchev@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 13:37:14 -0700 |
This is a question asked by a Microsoft developer in the forum "XML and the .NET Framework":
As this falls quite into the interests of this mailing list, I am quoting the message in full:
" In effort to prioritize our goals we composed the list of random features each of them may add value to set of XSLT tools offered from Microsoft.
1. XSLTc (Compiler for XSLT stylesheets, that generates .NET assemblies)
9. Current Node Highlighting (in the source document on each XsltDebugger step)
10. Data Breakpoints (Ability to put breakpoints in the source document to break when this node becomes current for any xsl:for-each/xsl:apply-templates instruction)
12. XPath Visualizer/Search (Ability to use XPath in the Find/Replace dialog in the XmlEditor)
13. Extend expression evaluator in the XsltDebugger with support to XSLT functions (document(), key(), ) and script functions

Anyone, who would like to see new XSLT/XPath tools and features -- please, send your feedback by clicking the above link and replying to the original message. Now is the time.
-- Cheers, Dimitre Novatchev --------------------------------------- Truly great madness cannot be achieved without significant intelligence.
