I don't see the connection between Mvp Xml and XSLT 2.0. MVP supports EXSLT (supplementing the xslt 1.0 functionality already in .NET), but is itself not an XSLT parser.
If you want to go XSLT 2.0, you may consider Saxon, which is open source and available for .NET 2.0 and Java.
