Dear Byomokesh Sahoo,

Presuming you mean you have a MS Word (XML) document of which you want
the contents to be converted automatically to an MS Excel (XML) sheet by
means of an XSLT stylesheet, perhaps even executed from withing MS Word.

The latter will require MS Word 2003 Professional edition, which
supplies you with the option to 'apply an XSLT transform' upon save. But
it could be done outside of MS Office just as well, using some
command-line tool to transform the WordML to ExcelML.

About the complexity of the XSLT you will need: I don't think you will
need a very complex XSLT, but it mainly depends on how you want your
information arranged in Excel. If it is merely an XSLT version of 'copy
and paste', it might be sufficient to create an empty ExcelML file and
use that as a literal result template, inserting values from the WordML
in the proper locations and nothing more.

Could it be however that you actually want to gather information from
multiple Word documents into a single Excel file, then things could get
much more complicated, depending on whether this is a one-time or a
re-occuring job for instance.

Kind regards,
Geert
