I was not sure if you could include conditions in the Page-sequence section.

They aren't ... they are in the XSLT that is *creating* the XSL-FO page sequence.


Pardon me as I am tring to learn new things in xslfo and have some questions. I know in XSLT we can do pop ups using javascript alerts that can be inserted into the XSLT style sheet.

No ... your XSLT creates the HTML that does all of that.


Can we do the same thing in XSLFO? Can we have pop ups using java script within an XSLFO?

No ... you are forgetting that the XSLT transformation is arm's length from the actual rendering of the transformed output.


There is *no* feedback look from either an HTML browser or an XSL-FO engine to the XSLT transformation process that created the instance being rendered.

On our web site (linked below) you'll find some freely downloaded excerpts of our XSLT and XSL-FO books that we sell. These might be helpful.
