Any stylesheet where the result is not "more or less the same as the input except for..." is likely not to have the identity template. I used "vocabulary" on purpose to avoid using any XML specific term such as namespace or schema. The input and output might not be using schema or namespaces or dtd, but they may still have recognisable structure that the stylesheet is designed to keep or preserve.
