Graeme,

Can you by any chance suggest any good books? Since I would like to get to know more about XSLT 2.0

Since no one else seems to have mentioned it yet ... to my mind, the best introductory-level treatment of 2.0 is Jeni Tennison's Introduction to XSLT 2.0.

Mike Kay's Programmer's Reference is a must-have resource for anyone doing anything more than patching someone else's code (and sometimes even then).

A separate issue is whether it's worth it to you to develop a firm understanding of the capabilities of XSLT 1.0, and the boundaries between it and its more powerful younger sibling. 1.0 is still ubiquitous, and many people are still developing within its limitations. For this, the best approach is to go to XSLT 1.0 resources.

Cheers,
Wendell
