Dear Michael,

as part of my homework (before writing to the list) I tested ca. 200 cases
manually as well as automatically. So finally I assumed it was not a "real"
timeout.

In the meantime I did some more testing with other editors and
standalone-xslt-processors but feel unable to sytematize the various errors.

With the setting oXygen10.3+SaxonB 9.1.0.7 it finally works. This is
somewhat confusing, because SaxonB 9.1.0.7J as used from command line stops
parsing the remote doc with "FODC0002: Java.io.IOException: Server returned
HTTP response code: 503 for URL:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"; (and I checked
that again to be sure that it's not a temporary problem).

Thank you for your advice, Patrick

Message-ID: I've just clicked on that link and it took rather more than 20
seconds = to respond. I should think the message means exactly what it
says. It's possible to change the timeout by setting Java system
properties: = see

Hope this is not off-topic, Patrick
