JATS-Con (http://dtd.nlm.nih.gov/jats-con/) is the first conference for users of the Journal Article Tag Suite, that is, users of any of the "NLM DTDs". JATS-Con is a peer-reviewed conference hosted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine on the NIH campus in Bethesda Maryland on November 1 & 2, 2010.

JATS-Con is seeking papers relevant to the use or non-use of the Journal Article Tag Suite. We are open to suggestions on what participants in the Journal Article tag Suite Conference may find of interest. The following topics are suggestions only:

    * The creation, presentation, manipulation, and/or storage of content
tagged according to one of the models in the Tag Suite
    * Modification or customization of one of the models in the Tag Suite
    * Creation of a new model using the Tag Suite
    * Location of the Tag Suite models in a workflow
    * Tools or resources developed or desired for working with content
tagged using the Journal Article Tag Suite
    * Desired enhancements to the Tag Suite

The JATS-Con Proceedings will be published on dtd.nlm.nih.gov, freely available to the public. Conference presentations will be 30 minutes long, in English, followed by 15 minutes of Questions and Answers or audience discussion. Paper proposals are due May 14, 2010.
Requirements for submissions may be found at:
