I'm interested to have your experiences as to how well this works on a
variety of browsers.

I've had reports of problems with Firefox 4.0 beta6 (OS = ubuntu 10.10).
Can anyone confirm or refute this, and does anyone know what the problem
might be?

If you go to Firefox Tools/Error Console it displays a number of "body is not defined" messages.

I guess the problem is in make-menu.xsl, resize_background() javascript function; above erol.html also emits errors in Firefox and Chromium error consoles.
