Qutoric Limited is pleased to announce the launch of XMLQuire - Web Edition 1.0.

This is an XSLT 2.0 editor specially extended for developing XSLT 2.0
that runs in the browser using the Saxon-CE 1.0 processor from
Saxonica.

There are 2 main motivations for this product:

1. As an 'introductory' editor for XSLT 2.0 developers using Saxon-CE
for the first time
2. A study into new features that can assist in a 'web development
environment' for XSLT 2.0

This light-weight product (less than 1MB) is limited to Windows 7/8
and .NET 4.0 and is optimised for Internet Explorer 9/10 (this browser
is hosted by the application).

Main Features:
1. Integrated browser with cache flushed automatically on editor updates
2. Saxon-CE error and diagnostics output shown in an interactive list
3. Set logging level for Saxon-CE from the editor
4. XSLT compile errors from Saxon-CE are highlighted in the editor
5. XSLT auto-completion supports Saxon-CE's language extensions for
JavaScript interoperability and UI event handling
6. Auto-create HTML, XML and XSLT for new Saxon-CE web page projects
using a standard template
7. Interleaved-tree XSD validation (optimistic) of XSLT and HTML
literal result elements
8. Whitespace-character free automated indentation in code editor
reduces XSLT files size by over 20%
9. Move the mouse over rendered HTML to auto-generate the XPath
location of all visible elements

It's hoped and expected that the Saxon-CE targeted features in this
product will be quickly eclipsed (no pun intended) by the established
XML IDEs that are available for more OS platforms; in the mean time. I
hope Saxon-CE developers will find this a useful addition to their
tool-set.

Saxon-CE is available from Saxonica and is not included with this product.
