Seems a shame that this should still be the case in 2013 - I don't know
if the XSLT 2.0 version of docbook has advanced. Meanwhile it would be
very easy to write an overlay for the templates in chunker.xsl that work
with xsl:result-document if available. You can probably just take the
module as written and replace "saxon:output" by "xsl:result-document".


Work has been ongoing for some time to use XSLT 2.0 for docbook
(Search the docbook archives Richard.)
I'm sure if you wanted to help Richard, it would be appreciated.

It is a lot more work than the output Mike. The 2.0 work is
essentially close to a re-write.
