The 2013 edition of the XML Summer School will be held at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, UK in the week of September 15 - 20. We have finalised the XSLT and XQuery course, which is probably of particular interest to members of this list. Please forward this email to those you think may be interested, or email me or Priscilla Walmsley, the chair of the XSLT/XQuery course.

**Early Bird discount for registration before 30th June**

The XML Summer School runs again this year at St Edmund Hall, Oxford from 15th to 20th September. As always, it's packed with high quality technical XML training and debate for every level of expertise, from the Hands-on Introduction through to special classes devoted to XSLT and XQuery, Semantic Technologies, Publishing and Hands-on Web Publishing. Or if you think you already know everything about XML, check out the Trends and Transients day for the latest on what's hot, and what's not. The Summer School is also a rare opportunity to experience what life is like as a student in one of the world's oldest university cities.

The XSLT/XQuery course features Priscilla Walmsley and Tony Graham teaching about using advanced features in XSLT, Michael Kay teaching about XSLT efficiency and effectiveness, Adam Retter teaching about querying XML databases with XQuery, and Florent Georges teaching about the forthcoming versions 3.0 of XSLT and XQuery, as well as XProc. More details are at http://xmlsummerschool.com/curriculum-2013/xslt-and-xquery-2013/.

cheers,

Lauren
