a != b
just _always_ gives unexpected and undesirable results, except sometimes by chance when you get lucky and you're in a context when it means not(a=b).

The day will come when I need to know if 2 sequences are different... it just hasn't yet.
!= is true if _any_ element of a is not equal to any element of b so it is only false if all items of both sequences are equal to the same value.
