The 1-player AI is also pretty bad. I guess I've played it so much that I love it's idosnyncrasies. Ever play 'Lords of wor' on the amiga? (A shameless warlords rip off w/ fancy graphics, power ups, spells (lots of them,) a skull instead of a ball, and cool 'doom' mode (if there are players still alive after a certain time, an evil thingy appears in the center and spits the ball out really fast in a random direction (after a few random seconds, the ball disappears and is spit back out again,) until only 1 player lives, and play continues on the next level (etc,) the only thing I don't like about it is that the screen scrolls while you play...
