It shouldn't happen... but I'll look at the code again. Are you sure you
didn't get the pearl immediately after killing the enemy?

Anyway, I think that there's a category of bugs that can add something to
the game, and this could be one of them. Before 2.9 there was also a
"double boss" bug discovered by Jim: I've fixed it, but maybe I could
remain.. :)
