Because there are no free cycles during the invader scanlines.  I don't do
*anything* besides load, calculate, and write playfield registers during
the 456 cycles for each invader row.

If I have any say in this, I'd like to see it stay as a cartridge 4k game
rather than resorting to the Supercharger.  At least I was envisioning it
that way, but Piero can do what he wants with it, I guess.
