The company is not called JTS/Atari. Atari does not exist anymore.
JTS swollowed and digested it. It is just JTS.

Only the copyright holder has the authority to grant usage rights.
Usage rights and copyright are not the same thing. Because you have been
granted usage rights for a product you cannot transfer those rights to
another, not without the agreement of the copyright holder.

Which they haven't because Bridgestone is lisencing usage rights to the
Starpath collection to any interested party willing to make an acceptable
offer (they will liscence non-commercial usage rights and for a higher
fee commercial usage rights). If Atari was able to transfer their
exclusive usage rights to JTS then Bridgestone could not do this.

Since Russ is in negotiations with Bridgestone over usage liscencing
I'll write Bridgestone on monday telling them I am no longer interested
in usage rights for the Starpath library lest they use one group's bid
against the other.

I did not know that Russ was in negotiations with Bridgestone when I
contacted them as Glenn had posted on RGVC he was giving up on the
CD out of frustration with JTS, Activision, and Bridgestone.

When I contacted Bridgestone I did not intend to step of Russ's toes
as I thought the Cyberpunks deal was canned. And I apologize if this has
caused any inconvenience.

(Sorry if I got in the way from hell!!)
