project until we know what it is. There have been a number of times when
non-programmers come up with some pie-in-the-sky concept for a 2600
program completely oblivious to the machine's limitations and then
solicit the newsgroup or stella list looking for a programmer to make
their fantasy a reality.

Until we know enough about your concept to know if it's even doable on
the 2600 don't be suprised if you don't get a lot of programmers beating
a path to your door. Many of us have precious little time to work on our
own projects let alone time to chase after someone else's wild goose.

An NDA doesn't protect a concept if someone else comes up with it
independently and copyright protects code and unless you're paying the
programmer, the copyright to that code belongs to him reguardless of wether
you came up with the idea or not and if he wishes to make it public domain
or sell it there's not much you'd be able to do to stop him.. You can't
copyright concepts and ideas.

But here's an idea I'll share with you without having you sign an NDA.
Why don't you study what's going on on this list and learn how to program
the 2600 yourself. Then you won't have to worry about anyone stealing your
ideas.
