I was thinking more long the lines of a Lynx cart that would be a general purpose
"2600 A.I. " cart that could be accesed from a 2600 program to specify A.I.
routines for modified Atari 2600 games. Players wouldn't necessarly play games on
the Lynx. It would act purely as a robot player. The Lynx cart could have a menu
system and a libray of games it supports. Hell, it could act like a "Gameshark,
Game Genie or Bob's Cheatah" as well. It could be somewhat programmable. People
like Corl Forhan have Lynx dev kits already to go and the knowledge to do
something like this. It would be cool to undertake a project like this if I had
time and resources.

Either way, I still think it is a great idea.

BTW: In a somewhat related side bar; The Starpath in-store demo unit communicates
through the joystick port on the 2600. It is a nifty piece of work. It'd be cool
to rip one apart and see if one could replicate it for making big (memory wise)
2600 games. And nope, I am not donating mine to science (at least not yet).

Take care,
Lee
