I would also like to find one, but the chance of that are pretty much
slim-to-none. I do have a gameline (shrunk!) up for trade though if one
comes my way. BTW that's another intresting thing to try and reverse
engineer. I did manage to get some Gameline action up on videotape about
2 years ago.

Someone e-mailed me out of the blue who had reverse-engineered the gameline
and had made a game sever for it back in "the day"!!! He did this so all his
friends could call it and use it instead of the real company. :-)

Dunno who he was since I lost the e-mails, but I still have the tape.
The way you called was pretty simple. Dial his phone number then quickly hit
reset. The gameline will "dial" (but this goes off into never-never land
since the phone's already been dialed on the extention). It will then
connect and download a small program into the 2K of battery-backed RAM which
holds the main entry screen. Once it connected, it would 'remember' the new
phone number and you wouldn't have to manually dial any more. He had about
500 games up for play. I asked him if he had managed to DL and save some
of the "lost" games, but alas he didn't. He said he only used the service
for a few days to figure out the modem's protocol then used an off-the-shelf
modem from work :-) Unfortunately I don't have much more info than this.
