Are you sure it's the 2600 version?  The 7800 DID have the same cartridge
case as 2600 cartridges.

Wrong context. I meant that I only own a 2600 VCS game console and 400 computer and thus have never seen the 7800 version of BallBlazer.

Heh, not me.  Do you have a ROM image though?  If so, it could be
disassembled.  It wouldn't be nicely commented the way the source may be,
but it would be quicker to get code to see how it works.

The code would not be commented anything like the nice LISP like macros enable. I don't have the rom, but I know others on this list are far more capable of assisting with disassembly of the rom.
