Well, any original code I write for the 2600 is going to be GPL'ed like all the other code I write, so that may not be feasible and/or legal. But that's not to say it wouldn't be easy for someone else to hack my non-trademark-violating game into one called Jumpman for their own amusement; the source would be right there and I couldn't really object, though B.E. could if they found out. I wouldn't even worry about any of this if I didn't think it would get back to them; Randy/Hozer even uses the original box graphics from Thrust when he makes carts of it and no one seems to be in trouble yet. But you're here, and I'd be wary of putting GPL'ed code out there that could cause legal trouble for its subsequent users later anyway. Of course it's all academic as long as I stay distracted by real work. Today I realized it should be possible to write it not only multi-load, but multi-load such that you could have add-on levels, the ability to select levels (assuming you're using a CD player), maybe a simple level creator for the PC, etc. But talking about something you know you're not going to get to for a while doesn't do anyone any good.
