Remember our discussions a few months back about putting together either a
comprehensive website or a book?
Mike Mika (mikem@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) posted this on atari2600nexus. I
thought everyone here should know in case they wanted to collaborate in
some way. I sent him an email to try to get him to drop in here and see
what we can do for him. It would be a shame if they compiled this book
without drawing on any of our resources. Is anyone out there already
working with them?

I am currently working with Chris Charla (Ex-Editor of Next-Generaion
Magazine) on a comprehensive beginners guide to programming the 2600, which
will hopefully contain all tools, sourcecode and information to not only
create your own games, but burn them to eeproms and make your own
cartridges. The text will include new games and their sourcecode, and a
step-by-step analysis of the sourcecode. Also, anyone who reads this and
wants to get involved with the book is more than welcome. We have only just
begun writing it, the games and source are nearly complete. We do not knwo
the final cost for the book yet, but want to keep it as reasonable as
possible. Expect a bound book with a CD and a color section.
