I saw your mailing list in the Augest edition of Next Gen, and was wondering if there are any resources still around for people that want to just get into assembly for the first time, strangely enough on the 6502.

I use _Machine Language for Beginners_ by Richard Mansfield (ISBN 0-942386-11-6). It is long since out of print, but you might be able to find a copy through eBay, or perhaps it's even part of a COMPUTE! Books archive on the Internet.

The book is geared toward 6502 ML on 8-bit computers (Atari, C-64, Apple, Pet) but the language is the same on the 2600.

For what it's worth, Mr. Mansfield gave the okay for me to "xerox" the book for a few friends if you have a really hard time finding a copy.

Excellent book. When and if I ever have time to make a game, it will have been instrumental. :^)
