Wow! This has a lot of potential if you can smoothen out the movement some more.


All I can think of is the coin-op game ASSAULT. That one was really impressive in its day due to the full-screen hardware rotation (and scaling).

If you can somehow generate a playfield grid using missiles and add in some intelligent flicker, you could probably do an ASSAULT like game on the 2600!

Of course, you also have to tackle the rotation of the other player, which is going to be really tricky with only 8 bits to work with. But if all the objects are quickly-rotating round saucer types, then you can get away with not having to do the rotation calculation.
