Nope, Turtles was also ported to the Arcadia 2001 (actually every Arcadia compatible console BUT the Arcadia 2001 itself). It was called Turtles/Turpin. Also a minor classic, and to the best of my knowledge the Odyssey 2 was the only console it was ever ported to. I did a mockup of 2600 Turtles a while back, which you can view here-- http://www.gameovernet.co.uk/newpac.htm#turtles And the arcade Turtles here-- http://www.klov.com/T/Turtles.html As I envisioned it when doing the mockup, the playfield is static, mirrored, and narrow, which is good. :) The "baby turtle" on the turtle's back is the ball, and the red eyes are missiles. Everything else is two severely multiplexed sprites. The score at the bottom isn't possible without flicker... I think. It might be possible to instead use the missiles to do the question marks, with some creative per-line reconfiguring. But in any case, Turtles is ripe for porting. Fun, challenging game too! I used to play a lot of it in MAME. --Clay ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
