The NTSC version always produces slightly more than 262 lines when a new game starts (i found 265..267). That is, because the long running timer is asked to late, so you don't catch the *first* occurrence of a zero value in that timer. So, whatever you are doing during overscan at the end of the previous game or the start of the next one, it lasts to long. Have fun!
