I don't think they did, but at some strategic moment someone should send Joe Decuir a cart with an interlace demo and ask him for a comment ;) Between now and then we should make sure we're delivering as legal a signal as possible, if we aren't already.


I think he'd be amazed.

The only classic game systems that dealt with interlace were the Bally Midway ones. Why they chose to deliver an interlaced signal, I don't know, but they didn't allow for separate graphics on each field anyway. I think some of the Japanese systems did it that way too (Popeye comes to mind) but they may have been based on Bally Midway architectures.

However, Jay Miner and company did deal with interlace by the time of the Amiga.
