Heh...I guess Nick went ahead and started 
directing people to my own http://alienbill.com/vgames/guide/
for the "Introduction to Atari 2600 Programming"...frankly, 
I think that's the best bet as a starting point for a newbie.

I'm working on adding a few new pages to it now...once i resolve
that timer issue I just mentioned I'll be posting some basic
player moving and collision detectin code...
