Subject: [stella] incoming: the 1 player version From: Ben Larson <wazzapfool@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 5 Nov 2002 14:43:38 -0800 (PST) |
I don't know what came over me...but yesterday I was in 'the zone' :) and ended up working like 7 hours getting the computer AI working in Incoming. I think I'm pretty much done with it now. It has some quirks, but overall I think it's pretty darn good considering the fact that it's more-or-less a 'budget' algorithm, compared to what I could've done. Here's the binary for whoever wants to play around with it. I suspect the AI might actually be too difficult right now...but we'll see. I can always water it down with randomization and add multiple difficulty levels...although the code itself is up to something like 4,071 bytes currently...
