Now mode 7 makes sense. If you take the mode 15 code I just posted, and substitute a divide by 2 instead of the divide by 6, you get the polynomial from mode 7. Unfortunately, the math of the beast works out to be the same as mode 9. They sound the same, but are implemented differently in hardware.
